This pub closed on 6 June 2021.

The pub is in a quiet part of town, in a bit of a backwater. The deeds date back to 1716. For a period of about 45 years it became a private dwelling but reverted back to a pub in the 1970s. There is a public bar, lounge area, dining room and 5 letting rooms.
